Project Manager

The project manager based out of EO Singapore will focus on scheduling and on-time deliver for a certain number of designated accounts.  Accounts consist of 5-10 high dollar customer accounts, each account consisting of between 5 to 20 optical components. Components consist of singlets, achromats, prisms, windows, broadband and narrow band filters.  A basic knowledge of these components is required along with emphasis in optical manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the quotation phase to determine lead time and delivery rates based on current factory open orders.
• Help secure and maintain a steady supply line for consumable products, including the raw material pressing, involved in the manufacturing of the components.
• Work with the department managers to balance the loading of the strategic accounts and the standard accounts.
• Provide insight and advanced notice in a timely manner to any anticipated fluctuations in the manufacturing process.
• Analyze and report to corporate key performance markers such as back orders, open capacity, and on-time delivery.
• Provide an open line of communication, both through email and phone, with corporate and the appropriate internal and external sales representatives.
• Oversee investigation into manufacturing variances and direct activities that will achieve efficiency improvements on the factory floor.

Required Education/Experience:   

• Minimum Bachelor Degree; Master Degree preferred in Optics, Physics or an Engineering related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years Application and Sales Engineering experience; Management experience advantageous.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to travel
